IEC Telecom Europe nominated at the prestigious Global Compact France Award

17 Jul 2019

Since its launch in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact has shaped up to be the biggest international initiative for sustainable development with more than 13,000 participants from 170 countries. UN Global Compact participants have a significant impact and are leading the way to implement responsible corporate practices and develop innovative solutions that address community and social goals on a global scale. As part of the sixth edition of the Best Communications Award this year, IEC Telecom was nominated amongst 40 of its peers in the SME category. A jury of former laureates and experts from the corporate and academic fields recognised IEC Telecom as one of the Top 3 performers for its Communication On Progress (COP).

The COP acts as a call to companies to align their strategies and operations with socially responsible practices in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. “We are proud to support the UN’s sustainability goals and are committed to acting responsibly in all our business activities,” said Gwenael Loheac, Group COO & Managing Director, IEC Telecom Europe.

This distinguished nomination has been well received in recognition of IEC Telecom’s integration of the ten principles of the Global Compact, which facilitate strategic actions to advance broad societal goals and emphasize collaboration and innovation. IEC Telecom is committed to the Global Compact at both the day-to-day operational as well as global strategy levels.
