Iridium CertusSM, the most innovative service for maritime applications powered by Iridium Communications, will be available at IEC Telecom. The company is going to play a critical role in delivering this most competitive L-band satellite broadband solution to the maritime market and enabling a truly global “connected ship” environment.
With Iridium CertusSM IEC Telecom’s customers will have a possibility to experience next-generation L-band speed while operating at sea with a selection diversity of Service Classes from 88Kbps to 700 Kbps with eventual speeds to 1.4 Mbps, depending on customers’ requirements. The innovative solution will propose three high definition voice lines, high-speed IP data and streaming, packet data service (SBD) and safety services all combined into one robust marine-grade terminal. Iridium CertusSM will ensure efficient voice and data services in any deployed conditions. Thanks to L-band, which is the lowest frequency commonly available for maritime satellite communications, Iridium signal can penetrate clouds, fog and rain.
