After nine successful years in the market, Inmarsat’s inaugural handheld satellite phone, IsatPhone Pro will see an end-of-sale and end-of-support phase, effective October 1, 2019. IsatPhone Pro has become known for its reliable satellite communications, seamless data connectivity, and clear voice quality with a robust design and durable battery, and has been a significant success story for Inmarsat.
The existing handsets and accessories will continue to function with an Inmarsat subscription, however, its components and accessories will no longer be available for sale by Inmarsat. Further, Inmarsat will discontinue any customer support, firmware upgrades, warranties and repairs for IsatPhone Pro.
With the manufacturing of IsatPhone Pro being ceased in November 2014, Inmarsat is moving forward with its next innovative handheld offering, the IsatPhone 2.
IsatPhone Pro, offers reliable satellite communications, seamless data connectivity, and clear voice quality in any environmental condition. Inmarsat’s I-4 satellite network provides global coverage, an ingress protection of IP 54 offers dust, water, and shock resistance, an intuitive GSM-style interface makes it user-friendly, and the durable battery ensures up to 8 hours talk time and up to 100 hours standby time. The IsatPhone Pro comes with AC adapter, international plug kit, DC car charger, USB cable, wired headset, and support CD-ROM. Optional accessories include docking stations, antennas, and a sturdy pelicase.
